When journeying in Bali, probably you would like to get gift or token from Bali to bring back home. You would like to get something worthful to remind yourself on your vacation in Bali.
The first thing you need to remember is about the
bargaining custom. You need to bargain if you shop at small stalls or art markets. When the shop keeper state a price, you have to to get it down at minimal half of the price offered. Then, either stick to that price you have halfed down or bring up your price a little bit. Often you can bring it down more than half of the first price in some places. To get an idea of goods price you will need to enter to several shops.
If you want to buy T-shirts, sarong, bedspread and baby clothes, you can try Kuta art market. It is placed at a quite popular called Kuta, near the popular shopping area called Kuta Square. Every taxi driver or
Bali tour guide knows where it is.
Next to the this art market, you will be able to find a huge hypermarket called Centro. Here, you can browse for popular brand names with world quality. Not a difficult job to get shops which sell clothes, art and craft, electronic goods, and even some eating places are available in this shopping complex. Its location is very strategic because, it is in the heart of Kuta close to the beach (has even a sea view). However, you will not be able to practice your bargaining skill here, it is all set price.
Ubud art market in centre of Ubud town is another place for hunting for arts and crafts, sarongs, paintings, bed covers, and kitchen utensils. To shop for fine arts, you can go to Mas village for wood sculpture, Peliatan and Lod Tunduh are two favourite villages for paintings, and Celuk village is known as the centre silver and gold jewelleries production.
Next, Matahari Shopping Mall and The Bali Galeria;a duty free shop. Both are located just outskirt of Kuta, at the "Simpang Siur" roundabout. It's just alternate places for you to hunt for more stuffs which bear international brand names.
These are few places you can go for experiencing your shopping tour. There are still many other shopping places. You can try the Bali Collection in Nusa Dua or Sanur village. All you need to remember is to get big bags so you can purchase presents for everybody at home. Have a great day shopping in Bali!
